We are happy to comply with all current legislation especially The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Reg 2000; The Consumer Protection Act 1987; The Fair Trading Act 1973; Sale of Good Act 1979; The Supply of Goods & Services Act 1982 and The Trades Description Act 1968.
If you buy a product from us without first seeing it, there is a cooling-off period of 14 days during which you can change your mind and cancel the order. You have to return the product at your expense in the same As-new condition within 14 days and we have to refund your money within 28 days. If you don’t return the product, we can tell you when we expect to arrange for a carrier to collect it and the cost of the collection will be deducted from the refund.
There are slightly different rules if the product is faulty but as we check everything before it leaves our workshop, the only faults are likely to have been incurred in transit so your return costs will also be refunded as long as you inform us immediately to allow us to contact the carrier who will collect the parcel and also be responsible for the costs of the repairs.
Optical instruments are liable to break if dropped or bumped and such breakages are not covered by the guarantee.
Everything we sell is guaranteed (the second hand items for 3 months). New items are covered by the manufacturer’s or distributor’s guarantee, usually one year, but they do not cover faults caused by fair-wear-and-tear or dropping / bumping. Please also avoid over energetic cleaning of the lenses as even the tiniest piece of grit can act like sand paper and scratch the coatings.
We do not send substitute items.
What you order will be what you receive. We aim to only list on our website, items that are in stock. If an item is not in stock, we will advise you. Occasionally an item will be despatched from the warehouse direct to you. We try hard to ensure that the descriptions on our website are accurate and more details may be available such as depth of field, size and weight. Just ask.

Full title of ownership is transferred to the purchaser on receipt of payment in full.
In accordance with the Late Payment Legislation, invoices which are not paid by the due date may be charged interest at 8% above the current bank rate.
